Kata Dumur | Bi Män | TET (München)
Kata Dumur, Bi Män and Tet participate in the feminist DJ collective WUT. The WUT collective was founded in response to the unacceptable conditions in cultural institutions and the electronic dance music scene with the aim of changing them. Therefore, artists, women, musicians, non-binary people, PoCs, trans gender and cultural workers, i.e. so-called ragers, create and think collectively against all forms of discrimination and the loss of subculture.
Kata Dumur produces hypnotic electronica/downtempo, often interwoven with experimental bass music. Her music is inspired by the achievements of electroacoustic composers as well as soundscapes from the 1980s New Wave era. Dark yet gentle, the emotions and states of the human mind are projected in an experimental ambient with occasional kicks.
Bi Män is an audiovisual intervention artist and creates post-female crossovers. Her sound is a genre MiXX that exaggerates gender relations by explicitly mixing sounds and beats by women* for women* about women*. She grooves between slow-core-rock, lo-fi-pop, future-funk, nu-jazz, world music or edm, thereby cleverly captivating her audience.
Since June 2018 TET has been one of the residents of the London radio station bloop., where she either plays in the London studio or broadcasts her exclusive monthly mixes "Deep Daydreams w/ TET". For TET DJing was a consequent step to share her love for electronic music with other people. Whether deep house or techno, minimalist or epic, broken beats or melodic, she plays music to lose yourself in.
